My name is Edwin van Dijk, Logistics Supervisor at Bluetron. In my role, I manage my team and contribute to daily activities. My responsibilities include ensuring the quality and efficiency of logistics activities, from planning to execution.
How long have you been working at Bluetron?
I have been working at Bluetron for eight years.
Why did you choose to work at Bluetron?
I came into contact with Bluetron through my brother. He always spoke highly of the company, which piqued my curiosity and convinced me to start working here.
Can you describe a typical working day?
A typical day for me starts with a team meeting to discuss planning and priorities. I check the progress of orders, solve products issues and ensure that everything is on schedule. This includes both inbound tasks such as receiving products, and outbound tasks such as packing and shipping.
What do you like most about working at Bluetron?
I like the variety of tasks and workplaces the most. I also appreciate the responsibility and freedom I get to organize and complete my work idependently.
Which tasks or projects do you find most challenging and why?
Integrating our infrastructure process into Jeeves, which was originally set up for other customers, is a challenge. It requires creativity to adapt it to our specific needs and processes.
How has your career developed since you started at Bluetron?
I started as a logistics employee and got to know the process from the inside. By taking on additional tasks and expanding my skills, I found my way to the role of supervisor.
Can you give an example of a project you are proud of?
I am proud of the improved working atmosphere in our team. An example is a colleague who was initially going to retire, but after our joint work and the changes in our team, he decided to continue working two extra days. That is the best compliment for me.

Our culture is result-oriented, with frequent consultation on the work floor to ensure that we achieve the right numbers and reach our goals.

The collaboration with my colleagues is pleasant but also goal-oriented. We know what we want to achieve and help each other to achieve the best result.
